One down, three to go.

Do please excuse the lack of communication, Pestilence has had me firmly in its grip for the last week or so, with my semi-annual "holy crap, where did this come from" cold / virally-inspired system failure.

Hopefully not a copyrighted image.

I've been dragging myself to work, fueled by an infernal mix of Ibuprofin, Dayquil, and Halls, but by the time I get home, I just haven't had the energy to paint.  This has been especially frustrating, as the remaining infantry for my 1000 points of Soviet BA only need some varnish and flock to be finished.  On the upside, I woke up this morning with the sense that the worst is over, so we just have War, Famine, and Death to go.  Fingers crossed.

'Cause even the Apocalypse is cool when it rps off Frazetta

I'm hoping to be in shape for some kind of game this week, as it's been a while since my last one, and I'm getting a wee bit twitchy.  In the meantime, I'll try to finish off the Soviets.

Because that worked so well the last time someone tried it.

Club chatter over the last few days has focused on to-do lists for the bottom half of the year.  Mine remains consistent.  I'd like to finish up my Soviets (or at least 1000 points of them), get through the basic roster for my BB humans, get my M&T to 400 points, and either get my Antigonids to 400 points, or my Spartans to 300.  Wish me luck.

  1. Summer is no time to succumb to illness. Hope you are felling better soon.

Good luck on your second half projects!

  2. Summer colds really do seem to hit hard and can be difficult to shake.

I never allowed any of my tech's or post docs to come to work ill. At the first sign of illness, out the door and to home they went (they still got paid). It cost me more in loss of productivity to have 5 sick people in my lab than it did to have one stay home for 3 days until they were no longer contagious. Ahhh if only I ruled the world!

  4. Sorry to hear of your ailment - hopefully by now you're on the mend and able to pick up a brush again. "Health is a crown on man's head, but only a sick man can see it" - Ancient Egyptian proverb. Best, Dean
