The Aftermath

Hi,

Post-Christmas fatigue is kicking in, fo' sho'.  After a whirlwind tour of family, we're back home in recovery mode.  The kids made out like bandits, and I'm doing my best to avoid stepping on both the zoo animals (soft) and Lego (definitely not soft) that seems to have taken over the apartment for a few days.

I'm hoping for a little time to go over my own haul of loot.  Mt sister was kind enough to get me copies of Black Powder and the Last Argument of Kings, the reading of which I eagerly anticipate.

Santa also brought me a Skorne Titan Sentry, and my wife got me a couple of Ospreys (On France's new world forts and Platea), and a lovely book on Napoleonic tactics with plenty of eye candy.  I also picked up a little discretionary income, which means guilt-free purchases in the future.

There's already been talk of a possible BP game with our 6mm SYW stuff, along with a semi-scheduled Warmahordes game and some chance of a test game of Muskets and Tomahawks.  The next week or so will likely be long on prep, and short on painting, but I'll try to get some posts up between now and my next game.

  2. Nice haul! The armored ellie, I mean Skorne, will keep you busy. And careful about the M&T as you might find yourself painting Mohawks next!
